The Honiara City Council Betel-nut Control Ordinance 2016 will be tabled in an extra Full Council meeting tomorrow.
A statement from HCC media says, after going through several reviews, it will be further debated by the Full Council before it is put to vote and possibly become an ordinance.
It adds, Chairman of the Law Enforcement Charles Aiwosuga who will table the ordinance says it will focus on controlling betel-nut sales in restricted and public areas.
The sale of betel-nut in the City has been on the rise and it is about time it is controlled.
He urges the public to be cooperative and help keep the City Clean from littering.
