The Parliamentary Opposition Group has expressed grave concern over revelations that a senior Cabinet Minister has been roped in the bauxite export saga.

The Parliamentary Opposition says the revelation in the print mediais serious, as they border on corruption, and serious allegations ofconflict of interest on the part of the Government MPs, not to mentionthe fact that these elected officials are self-serving.

It says such revelation are unacceptable as it undermines the expectations of the people in DCC; a Government that has promised change and to fight corruption head-on.

The Opposition Group says it is sad that only six months ago the DCCGovernment took over leadership with the promise to weed out corruption, and make a real change to ethical leadership in this country, only to see its own leadership implicated in corruptive practices and so much controversy.

The alternative government questions, why the Prime Minister remained silent over these very serious issues.
