PM ANNOUNCED INCREASED FUNDS FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has announced, the Government has increased budget funds on developments that directly affect rural people, especially infrastructure development.
Prime Minister Sogavare made the announcement during Friday’s visit to the East Central Guadalcanal highlands.
Mr. Sogavare says the Government, embarks on redesigning its policies strategically to ensure the county’s annual national budget allocation is reflected in rural developments.
He says this is to be implemented through individual constituency offices that will enable each constituency to acquire its own machines for the construction and maintenance of roads under MID supervision.
The Prime Minister and MP for East Central Guadalcanal, Hon. Ishmael Avui presented a total of $30,000.00 to Haiparia Primary School and $20,000.00 to Kolokapalo Primary School, two of the isolated schools in the interior of Guadalcanal Province.
