The Malaita Ma’asina Forum has urged the Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo to quickly give the 3-million dollars he had pledged for Kilu’ufi Hospital.

Prime Minister Lilo had made the 3-million dollar pledge during his surprise visit to Auki, on Christmas Day last year.

But the Malaita Ma’asina Forum President, Charles Dausabea says people are now doubtful of whether the 3-million dollars that was pledged will be given before the Prime Minister’s term in office ends.

Mr Dausabea adds the Prime Minister made a number of other pledges to other communities, and he must quickly give the 3-million dollars to Kilu’ufi Hospital.

“Surprisingly he came out announcing 3 million dollars for the Kilu’ufi hospital as reported on local print media. We ask him to quickly give the money,  in case he went out of office, because we saw that a number of pledges were made, including a pledge to the Rennell and Bellona provincial premier last year, a pledge the premier had asked him in his New Year’s message last year”.

So talking is cheap, we Malaitans had enough of that. We only want him to fulfil his pledge”, Mr. Dausabea told SIBC New in an interview over the weekend.
