Solomon Airlines flagship Airbus A320, currently undergoing annual service in Manila, Philippines, is due to return to full service by next Monday.

The Airlines’ Operations & Commercial, General Manager, Gus Kraus says, the delay in the Airbus’ return two weeks beyond the date originally advised had been unexpected.

Mr. Kraus says this maintenance program is a standard annual one.

He says the service is to keep up with Solomon Airlines’ extremely high safety standards demonstrated in recent weeks as per IATA’s decision to award the national carrier its second IOSA safety certification in two years.

Mr Kraus says, in the interim period the carrier will continue to operate the chartered Nauru Airlines Boeing B737-300.
