N.G.O ASSISTED DISASTER VICTIMS IN TEMOTU
A local Non-Government Organisation (NGO) OceansWatch Solomon Islands is assisting victims of cyclone Pam in Temotu Province with disaster relief efforts.
OceansWatch today says this effort supplements government relief assistance to disaster-stricken areas.
The NGO is also sending volunteer Richard Prayor to do clearance on fallen trees in the villages and on public infrastructure such as roads.
Partner NGO, OceansWatch New Zealand had earlier appealed for donations from individuals and friends overseas to support the
victims.
It acknowledged GeeToks Company for supplying a chainsaw and frame for clearance work in Temotu province.
