ABEL ARABOLA RE-ELECTED AS PROVINCIAL SPEAKER FOR GUADALCANAL

The Guadalcanal provincial Assembly has re-elected Abel Arabola as its new provincial assembly speaker.

Freelancer Allan Taro reports, Honourable Abel Arabola polls a total of 12 votes against three other candidates for the Speaker’s post.

Mr Taro reports other candidates for the speaker’s post are Ezekiel Alebua who polls six votes, Stephen Panga polls two votes and Philip Togavota polls zero votes.

“The Provincial Assembly has re-elected Able Arabola as the Provincial Assembly Speaker, who polled a total of 12 votes ahead of three other candidates who are also contesting the Speaker’s post. Second to Able Arabola is Ezekiel Alebua who polled six votes, Stephen Panga who polled two votes Philip Togovota who polled no votes.”

SIBC News understands the new re-elected Provincial Assembly Speaker presides the election of the new Premier for Guadalcanal Province this afternoon.
