Victims of the 2014 flash flooding who were relocated to the newly established April Valley in East Honiara have remembered their family members who lost their lives during the disaster.

The community commemorated the remembrance event with prayers and feasting.

Community Chair, Michael Fa’abona recalls the day as dooms day, a sad day people cannot easily forget.

The Vicar General, Reverend Philip Rongotha who leads the commemoration delivers words of encouragement to the victims.

Meanwhile, the April Valley community expressed disappointment as there were no representatives from the National Government attending the event.
