The National Spiritual Assembly of Baha’i Faith has elected its new executive.

A statement from the Faith say, nine members were elected during a convention of Baha’i delegates from across the Solomon Islands recently.

It says, the five men and four female executive will maintain their position on the Assembly for one year until the next election.

The role of the National Spiritual Assembly is to guide the Baha’i community and its 29 Local Spiritual Assemblies so it becomes a vital source of transformative energy and also serves the greater spiritual and moral needs of the wider community.

The statement says, the election was one of more than 180 elections held in countries around the world.
