BRIEFS OF EVIDENCE READY FOR COURT: POLICE

Police are now focusing on preparing briefs evidence to the court in relation to arrests made on the misappropriation of the $7.3 million within the Ministry of Health and Medical Services.
So far, Police has made a total of seven arrests into the misappropriation.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast warns public servants to take up their responsibilities seriously to avoid conflict of interest in their positions.
“We’ll be focusing on preparing the briefs of evidence for court now but future arrests are possible, but I don’t want to say too much on that again it’s before the courts but I make the same point. If you’re working in the Public Service you need to take your responsibility seriously and while some of these investigations can take a while to come to fruition, we are still working on them.”
