CABINET APPROVED MINISTRY OF EDUCATION’S NEW STRUCTURE
Cabinet has approved the new structure of the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, and the Ministry has begun recruiting key positions under the new structure.
The Acting Permanent Secretary, James Bosemata announced the development this morning at a week-long workshop for provincial and church-run Education Authorities.
Mr Bosemata said under the new structure, there are departments that have a specific responsibility to work directly with Education Authorities.
He adds the National Education Action Plan 2013-2015 signals a new approach to decentralise responsibility for service delivery in education to the Education Authority and school level.
The Acting Permanent Secretary also said a White Paper on the Education Bill and a draft of the Bill is ready for next year.
The workshop ends on Friday.
