The Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Melanesia says the mission of the church is to listen to the needs of the very ordinary people.

Archbishop David Vunagi made the statement during the opening of the Anglican Church of Melanesia’s 14th Synod Meeting recently.

He said, listening to the needs of people is one of the church’s mission.

“The mission of the church is to listen to the needs of even the very ordinary people.”

The Archbishop also said mapping expected outcomes will ensure the mission is vibrant and robust.

“I always see mission to be the priority of the church, but before we can make mission of the church to be vibrant and robust, we must clearly map out what we want to see and do in the mission of the church.”
