The defence lawyer representing the Permanent Secretary for Ministry of Rural Development has informed the Court he will apply to drop the charge against her.

Selina Boso is facing a charge of wilfully failing to furnish information and produce documents under the Ombudsman further provision Act.

The documents requested were information relating to the Rural Constituency Development Funds.

Ms Boso appeared in Court yesterday morning, where her lawyer told the Court they will apply to withdraw the charge against her.

Principal Magistrate Jim Seiuka granted a 14 days adjournment to allow the defence submit their application and the prosecution to respond.

The case will appear again before the Court on the 26th of this month.
