Honiara City Mayor Alfrence Fatai has told officers of the Law Enforcement Division that they are the backbone of the council because they make sure all HCC laws and Ordinances are adhered to by the Honiara public.

Mr Fatai made this statement when he discussed outstanding issues important to the division last Friday.

The HCC Media Unit reports Mr Fatai has also assured the Law Enforcers, his new executive will seriously consider a number of identified areas that need to be improved within the division.

Mr Fatai told the officers, he aspires to build team dynamics and assist find solutions to issues the division encountered in the past years.

He adds his executive will ensure the division is equipped to carry out its tasks consistently and professionally.

Meanwhile, Honiara City Mayor Alfrence Fatai also urge the Law enforcers to prove themselves and be professional in their approach towards their duties and responsibilities.

Meanwhile, Honiara resident Henry Kahui has applauded former City Mayor Andrew Mua for securing funds to improve eight Council schools in Honiara as relief centres during natural disasters.

Mr Kahui appreciates Mr Mua’s initiative and calls on the new Honiara City Mayor Alfrence Fatai to implement the funding to fulfil its purpose.

He says he wants to see the new Honiara City Mayor and his executive continue the good work the former City Mayor started.

Mr Kahui says its time Honiara City Council advanced in terms of developing the city.
