Deputy Premier Waneta and team visit 2023 PG Facilities

Deputy Premier of Malaita Province Hon Glen Waneta has led a delegation of Members of Malaita Provincial Assembly and religious Malaitan elders, to see firsthand the progress of the Pacific Games Sports facilities.

Waneta was joined by members of the non- executive group and Malaitan elders who have just completed the All Pacific Arise and Sukkot 2022 prayer event. 

The visiting delegation started the first site seeing from the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) sports field and office complex, the running tracks at King George, the national stadium, the Solomon Islands National Institute of Sports to the Kukum students’ residential halls which will be used by athletes of the 2023 Pacific Games.

The Deputy Premier and his delegation were clearly impressed with the progress of the sporting facilities.

Hon Glen Waneta said the site- seeing gives him and his team a clear picture of the amount of assistance bilateral partners have provided.

Waneta said the site- seeing also enabled him and his team to appreciate the assistance given by our bilateral partners.

The Malaita delegation became the first Provincial officials to visit and see firsthand the progress of the 2023 PG facilities.

Waneta and the team will leave for Auki at the end of this week.
