The Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) Women’s Network is conducting a three day conference this week in Honiara.

A statement by the CSSI Media said the conference runs from October 22nd to 24th.

The event is a lead up to the launching of the book, ‘Her-Story for Women Working in Corrections’ on Friday.

The conference brings together CSSI’s Provincial Centre women’s representatives and women from the Headquarter.

Acting Commissioner CSSI, Mr Chris Bwekulyi officially opened it under the theme ‘Empowering Women in Corrections’.

Bwekulyi said, the theme speaks well for itself that women must be empowered.
