The Shortland Islands FAMOA Council of Chief and Trust Board has expressed concern that no meeting was held since three years ago.

SIBC’s stringer for Shortland Islands John Kotaru reports, Chair of the Board Sir George Leping has yet to call meetings to discuss the development projects of the Island.

Mr Kotaru reports, a member of the board, Bernard Outana said meetings should be called to discuss including oil palm projects and current logging operations owned by the FAMOA Trust Board.

“There are matters that should pave a way in the minds of the Trust Board and communities at large, such as the oil palm project, the cruise ship visits or event the current operation by logging logging companies said to be owned by the FAMOA Trust Board.”
