Lots of farmers in North Guadalcanal have lost their domestic animals during the recent flash floods in the country.

SIBC’s North Guadalcanal stringer, Dudley Gani reports a lot of local farmers have lost their locally raised pigs, cows and chicken in the recent floods.

One of the local farmers, a Robert Rofa who lost few of his cattle, told Mr Gani the National Disaster Management Office should negotiate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock to help local farmers who lost their animals in the floods.

He said any help from responsible authorities will greatly help the farmers get back to normalcy through income generation from raising animals locally.
