The first ever National Women’s Soccer League has now progressed into its second round.

Solomon Islands Football Federation’s (SIFF) Media Officer Joseph Boso told SIBC Sports, eight clubs are competing in the competition.

“Currently eight clubs are participating in this competition and they are the Western United, Koloale, Kossa, Solomon Warriors, Malaita Kingz, Marrist, Real Kakamora and Hana.”

Mr Boso adds the competition will run for seven weeks meaning the finals will be held towards the end of November.

“Based on the format we are currently using the competition will run for seven weeks in league, which should take us to mid November while the finals will be towards the end of the same month which would conclude the tournament.”

The Solomon Islands National Women’s Football league started last week, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014.
