A former Premier of Guadalcanal Province David Rosalio has called on the Guadalcanal Provincial Government to clarify its involvement on the selling of Guadalcanal land to businesses in the country.

Mr Rosalio’s call came after Guadalcanal Provincial Premier Anthony Veke and Guadalcanal Provincial Secretary recently denied any involvement in the Doma and Marau lands sales to local businesses including Lee Kwok Kuen.

He told SIBC News, Premier Veke and his executive must clarify the issue to the people of Guadalcanal as this was the main cause of the recent ethnic conflict.

Meanwhile, Chief Pagini of Savulei Ward in West Guadalcanal said any legal sale of the Doma land and other land on Guadalcanal should be done in consultation with concerned chiefs and land owning groups of Guadalcanal.

SIBC News hopes to run a story on the Guadalcanal Provincial Premier’s reply separately.
