The High Court has ordered all former employees of Russell Islands Plantation Estate Limited (RIPEL) to immediately vacate RIPEL and its assets.

In a statement yesterday, Legal Counsel of the High Court said this order was effective on 26 May, restraining all concerned employees from occupying RIPEL lands and plantations.

The High Court confirms the employees have been trespassing and unlawfully converting copra and cocoa produced from RIPEL plantations.

The High Court warns, failure to adhere to the Court orders will cause Levers Solomons Ltd, RIPEL, and Lavukal Trust Board to apply for contempt of Court orders against perpetrators.
