GNUT reaffirms unity and readiness ahead of No Confidence Motion
The Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT) today reaffirmed its unity and preparedness ahead of the scheduled Motion of No Confidence, which is expected to be tabled in Parliament tomorrow, Tuesday 6 May 2025.
Members of the GNUT coalition convened this afternoon in a caucus meeting at Cabinet, chaired by the Caucus Chairman, West Honiara MP, Hon. Namson Tran.
The meeting focused on reinforcing the government’s collective commitment to stability, good governance, and service to the nation.
Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele reminded Members of Parliament of the important responsibilities before them, including key national priorities that require their continued attention once the motion is addressed.
“At this time, it is essential that we remain focused on our shared responsibility to provide stable and effective leadership for the people of Solomon Islands,” Prime Minister Manele stated.
The Government remains confident in its mandate under the 12th Parliament and continues to uphold its commitment to national unity and development.
Guided by its four foundational pillars—Economic Transformation, Unity and Stability, Infrastructure Development, and Human Capital Development—GNUT remains committed to delivering tangible outcomes that benefit all Solomon Islanders.
