GOVERNMENT HOUSE CONFIRMED SWEARING IN MPs BUT NO NAMES

Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has advised the Governor General of the two Democratic Coalition for Change MPs to be appointed to the two ministerial portfolio’s still vacant.

The Prime Minister’s press secretary Daily Oso told SIBC News in an on-line reply to our query this afternoon.

However, the Government House confirms, a swearing in ceremony is being held this evening but did not reveal whether the ceremony is for both the Minister for Finance and Treasury as well as the Minister for Police and Correctional Service.

Prime Minister Sogavare has announced earlier, the two final Cabinet Ministers of his Democratic Coalition for Change Government will be appointed today.

Mr Sogavare says, he has made his decision on these two appointments after consulting all members of his coalition government and their political parties.

There’re no further updates about the swearing in ceremony when this bulletin went to air.
