GOV’T URGED TO ENSURE POLITICAL APPOINTEES PERFORM AT PEAK

Leader of the Independent Group in Parliament Manasseh Maelanga has strongly called on the Democratic Coalition for Change Government to ensure Political Appointees perform at their peak all the time.
The Independent Leader was responding to a statement from a Government Minister that certain political appointees have underperformed.
In a media conference today, Mr Maelanga says, political appointees who fail to implement government policies should be relieved from the high office.
“What I would like to say here is that the government should deal accordingly with its political appointees once they fail to uphold government policies. This is because what the senior Minister has raised is quite serious.”
