GOV’T WORKS ON NEW SHIPPING POLICY: PM SOGAVARE

The Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has said his government is working on a new shipping policy to provide quality service to people of Solomon Islands.

Mr. Sogavare made the comment last Friday at the country’s commemoration of the 37th Independence anniversary.

He said the new shipping policy will ensure that the country’s maritime sector reform conforms to International Maritime Organization
protocol.

“On shipping we are working on a new shipping policy which will provide quality cargo and passenger service to our people and to ensure that our country’s maritime sector reform conforms to the IMO protocol.”
