GUA CALLS ON MALAITA PROVINCE TO EXPLAIN CONFERENCE SPENDING

Former Malaita Ma’asina Forum General Secretary, William Gua has called on the Malaita Provincial Government to disclose information on how funds were spent towards the Malaita Development Summit last year.

Mr Gua says, more than $1 million was spent on the summit.

Mr Gua also questions the implementation of recommendations developed during the summit.

“I want to call on the Premier and his government to explain how they have utilised the funds given by the government to host the Malaita Conference and out of this conference more than 100 recommendations, and I wonder how many recommendations have been implemented so far.”
