Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), Dr. Tenneth Dalipanda has said the budget allocated for the National Referral Hospital needs to be used efficiently.

Dr. Dalipanda made the statement today at the hearing of the Special Select Committee’s Inquiry into the Quality of Medical Services provided at the National Referral Hospital.

He says they will need to be more efficient in providing services.

“We need to be more efficient with the budget that we have in providing services because some of the things that we need to do doesn’t necessarily need more funds. It only needs a better organisation to address the human resource, make sure there is no fraud so that the funds are used correctly, ensuring that facilities are used for their rightful purposes.”
