Sponsors for the Inaugural Our Telekom Solomon Islands High School Choral Festival have promised to support the event again next year.

The final show last night was attended by Businesses, Government and Community leaders.

In a media statement today Event organiser, Igelese Ete says this is an opportunity for the young people to use a non-competitive platform to inspire and impart messages of positive change.

Speaking on behalf of the Sponsors, Jerry Tengemoana of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry said, youths are hardly on the Agenda, and if we are serious about building better leaders for tomorrow, we need to invest in them today.

Meanwhile, one of the event’s sponsors, Justin Fuo’o of Tropical Glass and Aluminium said the Festival is an avenue to promote pride and instill hope, and it was a joy to sponsor the event.

He says Government and stakeholders should support such activities and ensure that such events are encouraged, to instill a sense of pride in our youth.
