Kilu’ufi health staff have praised Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare for visiting the Hospital recently.

Speaking to SIBC News, Kilu’ufi Director, Mr Mark Maeliau says the Prime Minister’s visit has enabled his staff to share their thoughts with the Prime Minister about Kilu’ufi Hospital needs.

He says infrastructure facilities and human resources are among challenges facing the hospital.

Fredrick Kusu reports,

“Mr Maeliau said infrastructure facilities and human resources are a challenge that both the provincial and national government should consider carefully to improve health services in Malaita province.”

Mr Kusu also quotes Mr. Maeliau saying health services in Malaita Province will further improve if better health infrastructure is implemented and more nurses serve there.

“He said health services in Malaita province will improve if there are better infrastructure and human resources available to work at the hospital.”

Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare visited Malaita Province last week to witness the official launching of Malaita Provincial Government Policy Document.
