WILSON RANO ACQUITTED FROM FORGERY AND FABRICATION CHARGES
The Magistrates Court has acquitted local lawyer Wilson Rano from forgery and fabrication charges.
The Court acquitted Mr Rano after the Public prosecutions made an application this morning to formally withdraw the charges.
The Public Prosecutions said they are withdrawing the charges because there is no sufficient evidence.
Mr Rano was charged with forgery and fabrication in relation to a ruling made by a Customary Court in Marovo lagoon, Western Province in 2010.
The ruling was part of a case he was representing at the Magistrate Court.
His two clients were also charged with the same offences.
SIBC News understands Chief Magistrate Emmanuel Kouhota is handling their case.
