The National Government has advised that due to the current bad weather, celebrations to mark the country’s 37th Independence anniversary has been moved to Friday 10th July.

In a circulated public announcement, the cabinet has endorsed the proposal to reschedule the celebration and mandated the Minister of Home Affairs to declare the 10th July as a special public holiday.

The announcement further explains, Tuesday 7th July will remain a public holiday but for this year, Friday 10th July is declared a special public holiday.

The National organising Committee calls for cooperation from the public on this change.
