Marist FC Coach Jerry Allen has expressed confidence ahead of their crucial match against New Caledonia’s AS Magenta today.

Coach Allen said he expects a tough encounter but his team would be aiming to get a win and 3 points.

He said the team would be working on a few tactical changes from the first game and hopefully improving weak areas for todays match.

Allen said Captain Junior Fa’arodo sustained a minor injury during last Saturday’s match against Team Wellington but is expected to start in the first lineup today and lead the team.

He said Defensive Midfielder Jeffrey Bule could also miss the game tomorrow due to injuries, but he said he has some good players in the squad as replacements.

Coach Allen also called on the members of the public to come out in numbers to support the team.

“The game will surely be tough, they want three points and so do we, but we’ll do our best to get that 3 points,” he said.

“I’m really confident in the boys ever since the first game but we are not complacent, we will have to stick to our game plans like the first game.”

The first game between Team Wellington will kick off at 1pm, while Marist takes on AS Magenta at 4pm.
