PROVINCIAL POLICE COMMANDERS CONFERENCE STARTS TODAY
The Annual Provincial Police Commander’s conference begins in Honiara today.
The conference brought together Provincial Police Commander’s throughout the country to discuss ways in preparing to deliver government policy priorities.
It will also discuss ways to ensure Police Commanders are prepared to maintain the security role of Solomon Islands when RAMSI leaves the country.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast made the announcement.
“The conference commences today and go through to the 5th of June and really it’s looking at not only our operations for the remainder of the year but importantly how we prepare ourselves to deliver the government policy priorities but also how we ensure that we’re ready for the next phase after RAMSI draws down in 2017.”
The Annual Provincial Police Commander’s conference was organised with the support of the Participating Police Force.
