MASS DISTRIBUTION OF BED NETS NEXT YEAR

A mass distribution of mosquito nets will be conducted as of January next year.

Programs Manager of the Honiara City Council (HCC) Vector Borne Division, George Fafale confirmed to SIBC News in an interview yesterday.

Mr Fafale said mosquito nets are out of stock since last year.

He says his stock of mosquito nets will arrive in the country towards the end of this year.

“Currently the bed nets have run out of stock since last year. The new bed nets will be arriving late, towards the end of the year and so we will be doing a mass distribution for the whole of Honiara and everywhere in the Solomon Islands.”
