The Jones Adventist College in North Vella Lavella has a new market house.

The market house was officially handed over to the JAC School and the community last Thursday by the Western Province’s Acting Premier, Hon. Wyne Maepioh.

Receiving the new market building on behalf of the school and the community at JAC Principal Cecil Panda said, Jones College believes in offering service not only to the students but to the community as well.

He said the service compliments the community, especially the mothers to come and sell their produce, in this way, everyone benefits in some ways.

Meanwhile, Hon. Maepioh said the WPG wants to create a conducive environment to boost economic activities in rural areas.

He adds this project is the realization of that policy.

The project was funded under the PDCF component of PGSP at almost 195 thousand dollars.
