NEWCASTLE LORD MAYOR VISITED MAYOR ANDREW MUA

Lord Mayor of Newcastle in Australia Nuatali Nelmes has made a courtesy visit to Honiara City Mayor Andrew Mua.

A statement from the HCC says, during the visit, Mayor Mua said it was an honour to have the visiting Mayor from Newcastle as it signifies the relationship HCC have with Newcastle.

Meanwhile, the statement reveals Mayor Nelmes came to the country with her father Paul Scobie for a short visit, especially to the Western Province where they have strong family connections.

Mayor Nelmes’s dad Paul Scobie used to live in Vella la Vella in the Western Province when he was young, and also taught at Goldie College.
