Nominations for Intending Candidates for the National General Elections has closed at 4:30pm today.

The Electoral Commission Office told SIBC News the Commission is now in the process to compile the list of candidates and will announce the final names of candidates as soon as the list is finalised.

It adds candidates have until 25 October to withdraw their names.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission will deploy its awareness teams to all the provinces next Monday to provide voter education for people in the provinces.
