OPPOSITION APPRECIATES BUDGET EMPHASIS ON RURAL DEVELOPMENT
The Leader of the Opposition Group in Parliament Jeremiah Manele says his office appreciates the emphasis pledged by the 2015 budget for rural development and economic infrastructure.
Hon. Manele made the statement while contributing to the sine die motion in parliament today.
He said his office has appreciated the emphasis pledged by the 2015 budget for rural development and economic infrastructure.
He adds rural development and economic infrastructure is appropriate since 85 percent of the total population lives in rural areas to ensure economic development.
“Mr Speaker I believe all of us appreciate the emphasis placed on the 2015 budget on rural development and on economic infrastructure. This Sir is appropriate since 85 percent of our people are live in the rural areas and we need infrastructure to drive our country’s social and economic development.”
The Opposition Leader adds, now that the 2015 budget has passed, it is time to deliver tangible development that would improve the lives of our people.
“Sir now that the budget has been passed, we must now deliver on it. Our people are waiting for us to deliver important services and tangible developments that will make a difference in their lives.”
