Solomon Telekom has yesterday officially opened its new Customer Care and Telekom TV complex in Honiara.

Called the “Telekom Haus” it is located in what was the former NBSI and BSP bank building along Mud Alley street in Honiara, adjacent to the Central Bank of Solomon Islands.

Speaking to officially open the new building, Our Telekom Chairperson Harry Kuma said Solomon Telekom wants to set a high standard customer service and emulate the trading success of the banks which were once there.

“Solomon Telekom wants to set very high standards of customer service and we will continue to train and retrain our staff to meet this important role so that our customers are totally satisfied. This Telekom Haus extension site has a long banking history you will know. It is the first office of Commonwealth Bank of Australia in the early 60s, the National Bank of Solomon Islands and most recently Bank of South Pacific. We wish to emulate the trading success of all the banks who have operated successfully in this very location.”

He also thanked the former board members of Solomon Telekom and all stakeholders who were involved in bringing the complex to fruition.

Archbishop of the Church of Melanesia, Reverend David Vunagi dedicated the new complex in prayer.

SIBC News understands, the new Customer Service building will open its doors to the public next Monday.
