POLICE APPEALED ON PUBLIC TO HELP REDUCE TRAFFIC JAM

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, RSIPF, is appealing to the ‘General public’ especially, private vehicle owners to assist police reduce the continuous traffic jam and people to stay away from the main areas of the police search and rescue operations.

In a media statement, Police appeals to private vehicle owners to use public transport means into town to reduce the amount of traffic jams experienced each day.

It adds, people who roam the streets aimlessly are urged to remain at home- this should give space for police and all Disaster agencies do their distribution on schedule and operation without disturbances.

Members of the public are welcome to assist in this desperate situation, but police advices, it is best to allow our National Disaster agencies and police conduct its operations and task in time with public safety.
