POLICE PROBES DEATH OF COUPLE AT RARUMANA, WESTERN PROVINCE

Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a couple last week at Rarumana village in the Western Province.

Media reports last week said the couple were found dead together.

The reports said the man believed to be from Tikopia, was found hanging from a tree while his wife from Rendova, was lying under the tree.

The Police Media office in Honiara said Western Province Police and the Criminal Investigation Department from Honiara are still investigating the incident.

The office says at this stage, they cannot divulge further information about the incident.
