PUBLIC INVITED TO SUBMIT VIEWS ON 2016 BILLS

The National Parliament has invited members of the public to submit their views on 2016 Bills to its Bill and Legislation Committee.

Chairman of the Bills and Legislation Committee Hon. Connolly Sandakabatu today said, the Bill and Legislation Committee has made the call for individuals, groups, and organization who wish to express their views, knowledge, or experience on 2016 bills to come forward.

Mr Sandakabatu says these include the Penal Cod (Amendment) (Sexual Offences) Bill 2016, the Anti-corruption Bill 2016 and the Whistleblowers Protection Bill 2016.

Others included are: The Valuers (Amendment) Bill 2016, The Land and Titles (Amendment) Bill 2016 and the Police and Transport Legislation (Amendment) (Alcohol Testing) Bill 2016.

The Chairman adds the exercise is important to enable the committee collect them as evidences for its enquiry into the Bills before presenting them in a report to Parliament.

The closing date for all submissions is 15 April.
