The Solomons Government has announced a public holiday on Thursday, June 29, to commemorate the final day of RAMSI celebrations.

In a statement out today, the Ministry of Public Service announced the public holiday for Thursday whilst confirming a range of events for the week-long celebration.

The celebrations will kick off on Sunday with a Thanksgiving Service at Maranatha Hall followed by a religious concert at the art gallery.

On Monday a parade will start at 8am  followed by another concert, with a number of events such as exhibitions and monument unveilings to follow during the week.

On Thursday, the celebrations will finish in the after with a closing ceremony at Lawson Tama.
