The Rennell Bellona Provincial Government has passed a number of Standing order ordinances – Financial Management Instruction and the Business License ordinances during an extra-ordinary meeting.

The ordinances were passed to gain full authority in imposing the requirement of the Ministry of Provincial Government.

Speaking to SIBC News, Rennell Bellona Premier Collin Tesuatai said he made a submission to the Ministry of Provincial Government regarding the ordinances.

“Already I have made the submission to the Minister of Provincial Government as to what they require and I have met the requirements they have submitted to me.”

Premier Tesuatai adds the passed ordinances will support his government in drawing up its policy statement.

The next full assembly meeting will be held later this month.
