The Honiara City Council (HCC) has received public support for enforcing its Seven-Meter By-law.

Honiara City Council City Clerk Charles Kelly confirms the by-law has been enforced since yesterday.

“Dwelling on the public’s response, among the few callers that reached the office of the Clerk I think they appreciated the interest, the will and the way forward introduced under City Mayor Alfrence Fatai, especially in enforcing this seven-metre By-law.”

Mr Kelly appreciate members of the public for supporting the enforcement of the HCC By-law.

“I would like to sincerely thank the public for their cooperation shown over the last few days, even through last week despite the wet weather, people are beginning to understand as discovered by our employees. For that, I would like to accept their cooperation and would also extend my call for them to further this cooperation.”
