S.I. MET SERVICE CANCELLED ALL HEAVY RAIN ALERTS
The Solomon Islands Meteorological Services has cancelled all heavy rain alerts as of 5pm this evening.
A statement from the Met Service today says all Heavy Rain Alerts previously issued for Choiseul, Isabel, Western and Malaita provinces have now been cancelled.
It says a weak trough now lies North of Solomon Islands with associated cloud and areas of heavy rain showers are slowly easing.
It warns people should never attempt to cross flooding rivers and large streams of unknown depths.
