SINU Opens New Complex
The National Government together with the Solomon Islands National University and other stakeholders launched the University’s newly built faculty of Education and Humanities complex in Honiara this morning.
Speaking during the ceremony, Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare says, the building is an outcome of shared vision and hard work.
“What we witnessed today is the fruit of visions and hard work of the project’s initiators and implementers.”
The Prime Minister adds the building will help improve the livelihood of Solomon Islanders.
Meanwhile, SINU Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Jack Maebuta says, SINU needs more of such a complex to cater for the country’s growing population.
“More than 40 percent of the University’s students are from the Faculty of Education and Humanities and this complex is built timely, as the entire institution”.
The Complex was constructed by the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC).
