Chines Ambassador to Solomon Islands Li Ming meets with Church Leaders

The discussion is the first of its kind to be held for Church leaders in the country.

PRC Ambassador to the Solomon Islands His Excellency Li Ming says the session allows Church leaders to understand the China-Solomon Islands relation.

“I hope that this event will enable the church leaders to know more about China, and to understand better about the China-Solomon Islands Relations and to better promote further understanding between our two people.

“As spiritual leaders, You represent 95% of the population of Solomon Islands, you’re highly and widely respected,” H.E Liming says.

SICA Chair and Bishop of the South Seas Evangelical Church Erick Madonna says the session provides an opportunity to learn more of China’s culture and history.

“It is a great opportunity for us to be here and exposed to what we can learn about China and what China can offer to us in that partnership. This indicates that you truly support our nation,” Chairman of the Solomon Islands Christian Association Bishop Erick Maefonea said.

The round table discussion coincided with the Embassies Open-House Day and photo exhibition.
