Solomon Airlines flagship Airbus A320 will return to full service on Monday this week.

The airbus service has been halted for its annual scheduled service in Manila, Philippines.

Solomon Airlines says the chartered Nauru Airlines Boeing B737-300 it is using for its four weekly Honiara-Brisbane services and weekly services to Port Vila, Vanuatu, and Nadi, Fiji will continue its services in the meantime.

Meanwhile, the General Manager of Operations and Commercial, Gus Kraus says the delay in the Airbus’ return is unexpected.

The carrier had originally hoped to have the Airbus back in full service by the end of the month.

Mr Kraus apologised for any inconvenience this situation may cause passengers but says the maintenance program is a standard annual plan.
