The Solomon Islands 2013 Bio-Security Act has been enacted.

The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Honourable Augustin Auga has gazetted the 2013 Bio-Security Act in a Notice of Commencement early this month.

The minister issued the notice base on his authority provided in section one of the Bio-Security Act.

SIBC News understands the 2013 Bio-Security Act is enforced from today’s date to prevent the entry of animals and plant pests and diseases into Solomon Islands.
